Our goal is to provide students with an objective and simple way to understand and evaluate the differences between laptops. Being empowered with this knowledge, students can make informed decisions that best support their academic careers.
A derivative of a cumulative density function based on industry benchmark scores, using specific laptop scores for single- and multi-core performance, when available. General CPU performance scores when not.
Scoring of key features including:
  • Touch screen
  • Backlit keyboard
  • Screen quality (brightness, color gamut, refresh rate, screen PPI)
  • Battery life
  • Ports ( USB A, USB C, HDMI, DIsplayPort or Ethernet)
  • WiFi 6 compliance
Average of available industry reviews from sources like:
  • Digital Trends
  • PC World
  • PC Mag
  • Laptop Media
  • TechRadar
  • Tom's Hardware
